If you were looking forward to the massive Young Money tour featuring Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy, Soulja Boy and Drake, it sure was disappointing to find out that Drake had to leave the tour to get knee surgery. But now, things are even worse - the tour's remaining Canadian dates in Vancouver and Edmonton have been cancelled.

Fans who arrived at Vancouver's GM Place last night (August 17) for the show were met with the news that it was cancelled. Similarly, tonight's Edmonton show has also been axed at the last minute.

While an initial statement from the promoters said the shows were called off "due to circumstances beyond Live Nation's control," Lil Wayne's camp has now revealed that the dates were cancelled because of the rapper suffering from an unidentified illness.

"Lil Wayne, due to illness, was advised by his doctors to cancel the Young Money Presents: America's Most Wanted Music Festival tour stops in Western Canada," the statement reads. "The tour, headlined by Lil Wayne featuring Young Jeezy, Soulja Boy, Pleasure P and Jeremih, was scheduled to come through Vancouver and Edmonton on August 17th and 18th. Wayne, his band and crew arrived in Canada with full intention of performing but were forced to cancel the dates due to doctor-mandated rest. Young Money Presents America's Most Wanted Music Festival will continue their tour routing as planned and extends an apology to the fans for the cancellation."

Previous reports speculated that Wayne himself was denied entry into Canada thanks to his growing criminal record. Rapper Nicki Minaj Tweeted that the border officers were being extra sketchy, saying, "They got the other bus under pressure right now... Niggaz brought the dogs out and shit."

Tickets for the Lil Wayne shows will be refunded at their point of purchase.
