From his marathon music video shoot to his recently launched blog, Lil Wayne is proving that he can keep up his public profile while he spends the next year behind bars. That will likely continue as a documentary revolving around his last days of freedom is set to surface.

Lil Wayne cohort DJ Scoob Doo filmed Wayne right up to his prison stint, capturing behind-the-scenes footage he intends to edit into a film called Road 2 Rikers. In an interview with XXL, he said, "You could just imagine what I could have [filmed] just being with the team, and being with Wayne on his countdown to jail and even when he didn't know he was going to jail."

The film will likely be sold to a cable network and aired as a TV special. "A media network like HBO could have the best impact, because they won't try to censor it," Doo added. "They push the envelope of what they show." In the meantime, clips from Road 2 Rikers can be viewed on Scoob Doo's website here.
