Published Jun 09, 2017In June of last year, Lil Wayne found himself at the centre of battery allegations after allegedly assaulting a nightclub bouncer following the BET Awards. Now, the bouncer is suing Weezy on grounds that the rapper's actions were a hate crime against white people.
TMZ reports the suit alleges that Wayne and his entourage arrived at Los Angeles' Hyde nightclub for an after-party and were acting belligerent.
The bouncer claims Wayne hit him upon trying to enter the club, knocking him to the ground. The suit also says Wayne then threw a drink in the bouncer's face and yelled, "Fuck you white boy!"
The publication also reports that Wayne's camp has denied the allegations.
The bouncer is reportedly suing Wayne, his label and Hyde for damages for assault and battery, in addition to having a $25,000 civil penalty added for the supposed hate crime.
