Once prolific rapper Lil Wayne has seen his long-awaited Tha Carter V LP delayed many times. It was recently given a December 9 release date, but now the performer has suggested it won't arrive next week after all.
Taking to his Twitter, Weezy said that the album "won't" be released because YMCMB head Baby (a.k.a. Birdman) and Cash Money Records "refuse to release it."
Wayne added that he was sorry and that he wanted off the label. "I am a prisoner and so is my creativity," he wrote. Read the string of tweets below.
UPDATE: By the looks of things we have nothing to fear, or at least that's according to Lil Wayne's manager Cortez Bryant. When asked if Lil Wayne was actually leaving Cash Money, he simply told TMZ, "Of course not… We good."

This isn't the first time YMCMB have been accused of delaying their artist's albums. Earlier this year, Tyga said the label was also preventing him from releasing new material.
Gold album been done. my label holding me hostage so i can't release nothing. might just leak it for my fans then let them make $ off it.

While Tha Carter V won't be out in time for Christmas after all, the album's Christina Milian-assisted single "Start a Fire" can be streamed below.
