Lil Wayne Hints at 'Devol' Album, Recruits Drake for Big Tymers Reunion

A year and a month ago, raspy-voiced rapper Lil Wayne teased that he had completed an album of love songs called Devol. Since then, Weezy's been through a lot, and only recently released his I Am Not a Human Being II album after many delays. With that out of the way, it's time to start teasing more new material.

In a recent appearance on MTV, Weezy told host Sway Calloway that he still hopes to release his Devol LP.

"I do still plan on dropping that. I'm very excited about that album," he said. "I know ya'll probably like, 'I don't want to hear no love songs according to [Wayne].' But I'm talented. [Birdman] let me do whatever I want to do, so I'm putting that album out, ya dig."

That's not all he's supposedly got on the docket. Weezy also promises another Big Tymers album on the way. After a ten-year absence, the supergroup no longer features Mannie Fresh. In his place it'll be Drake, who'll rap alongside Birdman and Lil Wayne.

As for Birdman and Lil Wayne's collaborative relationship, Weezy says the two are working on a follow-up to their 2006 collaboration Like Father, Like Son.

With all of these plans lined up, the ongoing hints that Lil Wayne wants to retire appear less and less likely. Having said that, there are no guarantees that any of these albums will see the light of day in the next decade.
