Lil Wayne Already Finished First Post-Prison Track, Due Out Immediately

We already knew that, following his release from prison last week (November 4), Lil Wayne wouldn't waste any time setting to work on new material -- there was even a rumour he would begin recording on the plane ride home. Sure enough, Weezy has already laid down a brand new song, which could be out as soon as today.

Yesterday, the rapper's manager, Cortez Bryant, told Rolling Stone, "We're trying to put it out, like, tomorrow. We got a crazy song. If not tomorrow, definitely next week." The track was reportedly laid down at the Hit Factory studio in Miami.

The song appears to have been finished on Tuesday. That's when Young Money label boss Mack Maine tweeted, "It's official Wayne laid his 1st verse!!!!! Torture!!!!" From this, it sounds like the song may be called "Torture."

We're excited to hear Weezy's first post-prison track, but we can't help but wish the rapper would devote some of his energy to finally releasing the long-delayed Tha Carter IV. That album was previously set to drop in 2009 and recent reports suggested it might be released on the day the Lil Wayne got out of prison.
