Like It or Not, Big Boi's Collaborating with Owl City

Big Boi is at the top of his game. With his stunning 2010 album, Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty, still fresh in our minds, the Outkast member is in the position to collaborate with just about anyone he wants to. So, which lucky musician has the rapper decided to team up with? Commercially successful, but critically maligned pop singer Owl City.

In an interview with the Wall Street Journal [via The Daily Swarm], Big Boi spoke about his upcoming projects, saying, "I just did a record with Owl City." This is surprising news, given that Big Boi is one of the mostly critically adored MCs on the planet, while Owl City is often pegged as a cloying Postal Service imitator.

Luckily, that's not all that the tireless Big Boi has in the pipeline. He's still working on a bizarrely titled album, Daddy Fat Sax: Soul Funk Crusader, and he also revealed, "I just did a song with the Game." What's more, he has a video on the way for his new single, the Janelle Monáe-assisted "Be Still" (from Sir Lucious Left Foot).

As for the new Outkast album that we've all been hoping will happen soon, he said, "That's top-secret information."
