Like Dr. Dre Before Him, Jack White Gets His Own Headphones

While some musicians use their business knowledge to create their own well-oiled record labels, rock'n'roll entrepreneur Jack White is using his Third Man Records to do so much more. From releasing limited records for Conan O'Brien and Nobunny to messing with vinyl record technology, it would be unfair to call Third Man a straightforward label. Now, it is continuing in its tradition of gimmickry with the label's line of headphones.

Third Man has teamed up with Nixon to create a special version of the accessory manufacturer's Master Blaster line. According to a press release, the limited headphones boast "handcrafted leather ear cans and headband with lightweight metal speaker cabinets, ball and socket construction for a limitless range of motion."

Regardless of how they sound, the best part of the Third Man headphones is how they look, with fake vinyl seven-inches covering each earpiece. Though you'll probably be listening to your iPod on the bus with these on, people will know how much you love records by the fact that you're wearing some on your head.

Third Man and Nixon's Master Blaster headphones are available now from the Third Man store in Nashville. Keep an eye on the Nixon online store to order your very own pair when they become available.
