Lights has showcased her penchant for the visual arts in the last couple years, releasing a comic book in conjunction with her album Light & Skin and illustrating some of this year's female Juno nominees. Now, the singer is set to show her first official art exhibition.

Dubbed Finding Your Power: Skin & Earth, the collection will be open to the public from June 14 to 16 at the Artscape Sandbox (301 Adelaide St. W) in Toronto. It will run from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on all days.

It features pieces that Lights has deemed her "favourite" from throughout her comic series.

The exhibit is a partnership with Bombay Sapphire's Artisan Series, and was designed in part to encourage burgeoning artists to submit their own work into the art competition. The winning artists will get their work displayed at regional galleries and events — and Lights herself will be amongst the judges evaluating the entries.

Submissions are currently open over here.

"I've always pursued visual art alongside music and this exhibition is proof that with hard work you can see amazing things happen," Lights said in a statement. "Bombay Sapphire is looking for the next big deal in the visual art world and I've partnered with them as one of their 2018 art ambassadors, to judge their art competition. I'm encouraging emerging visual artists to apply and show me what they've got this fall. I hope my exhibition inspires all emerging artists to put their work out there. If you have a power — don't hide it."

Later this summer, you can also catch Lights performing at the Canada Day celebrations on Parliament Hill in Ottawa, as well as in Hamilton at Super Crawl.

Lights' music is available via Umusic, including Skin & Earth (red LP or CD), Midnight Machines (clear vinyl EP or CD) and Little Machines (LP box set).
