Published Oct 02, 2015Brooklyn-based indie-electro outfit Life Size Maps released a new self-titled record back in the spring, but they're ready to take things in a different, poppier direction with a new single called "Incomplete" — and Exclaim! has got the exclusive premiere.
The track hears the band grappling with the grey area between reality and the increasingly digital world that we live in. Not foolish enough to eschew the technological advancements that come with that change, the band use electronic sound to their advantage, embracing a dancefloor friendly aesthetic that is sure to get listeners moving.
As noted in a recent press release, "Incomplete" takes the listener on a journey through "depersonalization, love, loss, visceral existence, and magic" under the guise of "a stadium-anthem, binary-shattering epic of nostalgia, sadness and bliss that shoegazes without forgetting to look skyward."
You can hear that sound come to life at the group's upcoming live show at the Bowery Ballroom in New York on October 4. But first, give the brand new synth-pop banger "Incomplete" a spin in the player below.
