Library Voices Sign to Nevado for Summer of Lust, Unveil New Track

It's been an eventful 12 months for Regina, SK-based power pop crew Library Voices. Last April, they released their debut full-length, Denim on Denim, shortly before losing all of their gear in a catastrophic flood. Now, they have bounced back, signing to the Toronto-based Nevado Records and announcing another LP is on the way.

The new disc is called Summer of Lust, and it's due out late this summer. It was recorded with Besnard Lakes member Jace Lasek at Montreal's Breakglass Studio. According to a press release, the ten-day recording session was "fuelled by criminal amounts of espresso and a hundred bottles of gas station wine."

We still don't have a firm release date or a tracklist, but head to our Click Hear section for a free download of the politically minded new track "The Prime Minister's Daughter."

We also know that the album's official first single, "Generation Handclap," will come out digitally and on seven-inch on May 31. It's described as a "blistering romp that has vocalists Carl Johnson and Brennan Ross trading off verses and guitar leads over the bands signature sweeping synths and saxophone."

Library Voices will also be heading out on the road this month for a handful of Canadian dates, mostly in Ontario. See the schedule below, and expect a full summer tour be announced soon.
