Last year, Regina, SK-based pop merchants Library Voices indulged themselves in a Summer of Lust, and those good times will be stretching all the way into the spring thanks to a forthcoming North American tour and a new remix.
Aside from a stop at SXSW and a handful of solo shows, the bulk of the band's upcoming dates are with Yukon Blonde. They'll be teaming up with these BC retro rockers for a trip that will take them across Canada and also includes a handful of U.S. shows.
To help promote the jaunt, Library Voices just rolled out a remix of the Summer of Lust cut "Traveller's Digest" by the insanely prolific Teen Daze. The remix is barely recognizable as Library Voices, with the song being transformed into a synth-dappled electro banger with chopped-up, mostly wordless vocals.
Library Voices said in a statement, "Admittedly the whole indie rock remix thing has been done to death, but Teen Daze's ability to deconstruct and completely re-imagine the material he sources leaves him in a league of his own."
