Liar

Another competent metalcore band from Europe, Liar have it all - vague and well-meaning lyrics, demonic-looking cover art, beefy production, some fast "we like In Flames" songs and some slow "we were never into Earth Crisis" songs. They do a good job of making some aggressive and heavy songs but, for the most part, it just fades into a generic hardcore blur. While listening to this, I was daydreaming of God Forbid and Shadows Fall, thinking about how anyone can pump out a good hardcore album (it's not rocket science), but I'd rather focus my attention on bands creating new sounds.
