Liam Gallagher has been teasing a new album called Why Me? Why Not., and now the former Oasis singer has unveiled exactly when it will arrive. What's more, he's also shared a new video for lead single "Shockwave."

Why Me? Why Not. is due out September 20 via Warner. Gallagher opted to work with a variety of co-writers on the new album, including collaborators like Greg Kurstin and Andrew Wyatt of Miike Snow.

"I wrote some songs on my own for the last album, but this time it's all co-writes," Gallagher said in a statement. "Reason being is I want it to be even better than As You Were. I know my strengths and I know my limitations. I'm an OK songwriter, but I'm a great singer and frontman. I want the second album to be a step-up because the hardest thing to do is to make something the same, only better. So that's what we've done."

The full tracklisting has yet to be unveiled and the image above is not the final artwork, but pre-order listings indicate Why Me? Why Not.  will feature 11 songs and previously shared single "Shockwave" will be the album opener.

Speaking of "Shockwave," Gallagher has debuted a new music video for that track, and you can watch it below.

Gallagher released his first solo album As You Were in 2017. Earlier this month, he also released a documentary titled As It Was.
