L'esprit "Nature"

L'esprit "Nature"
Toronto synth-pop duo L'esprit are set to release their debut single "Nature" through Guelph label INCLINE∆DECLINE — and Exclaim! is giving you the chance to hear it first.

L'esprit is the latest project from Jordan Pearson (Halcyon, Motoko, Political Séance) and Brian Schirk (Stuka, Wolfcow, Dutch Toko, Lowlands). Between both members, there's obviously a wealth experience in the realm of music making, but with "Nature," they've churned out something that's still vibrant and refreshing. Despite pasts that have heard Pearson and Schirk tinkering with everything from post-punk to experimental noise, it's clear that L'esprit are out to capture the power of pop music with this project.

"Nature" melds darker underlying rhythms with upbeat, iridescent synthesizers and Schirk's evocative vocals, resulting in a shimmery, summertime-friendly pop single.

An EP from the two-man collaboration is expected to be released in the near future, but while we await further details, give "Nature" a spin in the player below.
