Les Hell On Heels

Les Hell On Heels

Here’s an album to get excited about. For those who remember a trio called the Peeps and deeply miss their hot-but-hardcore image of studded belts and binge drinking, and the addictive rock’n’roll they unleashed out of their hometown of Phoenix, Arizona, Les Hell On Heels are going to take you right back to those days. And if you missed out the first time around, this is your chance to hear some real music. Formed by ex-Peeps members Paula Monarch and Chela LaRue, this quartet spins out a wild sound that is likely to get your fists pumping and adrenaline racing. Produced by Jack Endino (Nirvana, Mudhoney, the Black Halos), these 11 tracks churn, writhe and wail. This album is all attitude with nothing fancy of flashy. Not a beat is wasted here, and the band’s basic approach is more exciting than a lot of the self-indulgent showiness that often marks other rock’n’roll acts these days.
