While Le Volume Courbe (a.k.a. Charlotte Marionneau) hasn't issued a full-length release since her 2005 debut I Killed My Best Friend, a new two-song single is just around the corner. Before it lands on 12-inch vinyl next Tuesday (February 24), you can sample the dreamy A-side, "The House."
The track takes on a few shoegazing properties, with eccentric guitar tones delivered by past collaborator and My Bloody Valentine leader Kevin Shields. Also threaded into the tune, along with Marionneau's whimsically whispered lines, are the sounds of a violin and extra-blippy toy gun blasts.
