Published Oct 02, 2015Los Angeles-based artist and music maker Lawrence Rothman has unveiled a new track titled "California Paranoia," which hears him pairing up with folksy indie rock singer-songwriter Angel Olsen.
The track comes from Rothman's forthcoming, but as of yet untitled, debut album. In addition to Olsen, Rothman has tapped a bevy of high-profile guests for the project, including Kim Gordon, Charli XCX and Ariel Pink.
Justin Raisen has taken on production duties, adding it to a resumé that already includes being Ariel Pink's other half in Raw Deal, and production work on Sky Ferreira's Night Time, My Time and Charlie XCX's True Romance.
While full details for the album have yet to emerge, it's expected out on Downtown Records, and you can get an early sonic sampling of it by listening to the haunting, gloom-pop ballad "California Paranoia" below.
