Some eight years removed from their album Incorruptible Heart, indie group Lavender Diamond have returned with a brand new music video for a single called "Look Through the Window."
"This song resounded in my heart and mind for months — it was all I wanted to sing," the band's Becky Stark said in a press release. "It felt so mysterious — a song about such deep isolation, separation and rebirth. When the quarantine began it suddenly seemed that this song had come to speak to this moment of trial and transformation — and contained within it a prayer for the healing of our world."
In addition to Stark, the song features core Lavender Diamond members Steve Gregoropoulos, and Ron Regé, Jr. alongside an eight-piece orchestra that includes Bright Eyes' Nate Walcott on trumpet and Sasami on french horn.
The new song will likely appear on a yet-to-be-announced new release. Lavender Diamond have just signed with Petaluma Records.
