Laurel Halo Signs to Hyperdub for 'Quarantine' LP

BY Alex HudsonPublished Mar 20, 2012

Laurel Halo has only just released a new EP under the moniker King Felix, but the electronic experimenter has already announced plans to go back to her old name for her first proper full-length album, which will be called Quarantine.

While we don't know exactly what date the record will arrive in stores, we know that it's slated to arrive in May through esteemed electronic imprint Hyperdub. It's anyone's guess as to exactly what the album will sound like, since Halo's eclectic output has included everything from synthscapes to IDM to more dancefloor-oriented material.

UPDATE: The album is due out on May 28, and that's the album cover above.

It's only fitting that Halo is now signed to Hyperdub, since the electro-minded UK label has previously released music by forward-thinkers like Burial, the Bug, Kode9 and Zomby.

While we wait to see exactly where Halo's muse will take her this time, stream Halo's previous Hour Logic EP in the player below.
