​Lana Del Rey Previews New Song Inspired by North Korea

Following a weekend visit to Coachella, Lana Del Rey has hinted at a new song in an Instagram post. She's shared a brief snippet of new music and a few lines of verse from an untitled track.
 
As she explains in the video's caption, it was written after a post-Coachella visit to a sequoia grove (a "favourite old place" of hers) and it hears her reflecting on "complex feelings" about spending a weekend dancing away as global tensions escalated in North Korea.

The track won't be appearing on Del Rey's upcoming album Lust for Life, which is already finished and ready for release on May 26 via Interscope.
 

 

I'm not gonna lie- I had complex feelings about spending the weekend dancing whilst watching tensions w North Korea mount. I find It's a tightrope between being vigilantly observant of everything going on in the world and also having enough space and time to appreciate God's good earth the way it was intended to be appreciated. On my way home I found myself compelled to visit an old favorite place of mine at the rim of the world highway where I took a moment to sit down by the sequoia grove and write a little song. I just wanted to share this in hopes that one individual's hope and prayer for peace might contribute to the possibility of it in the long run.
