It arrives next month

Lana Del Rey topped Exclaim!'s Best Pop and Rock Albums of 2019 with Norman Fucking Rockwell!, and she's already revealed plans for a new project. She will release a spoken word album on January 4.

In a video posted to Instagram, she explained that the album will serve as an accompaniment to her book of poetry titled Violet Bent Backwards over the Grass.

Del Rey continued to say that the album would cost around $1 because "thoughts are meant to be shared" and she liked the idea that they are "priceless in some way."

That said, Del Rey also noted that for as long as the record is distributed, she will donate half of the proceeds to organizations that aim to preserve the rights and protect the land of Native Americans.

Del Rey explained that in researching her own family lineage a while back, she also examined the United States' lineage and wanted to make her own "reparative act."
