Lamb of God

"Vigil" (video)

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Oct 22, 2013

Thrash titans Lamb of God will deliver a remastered version of their classic As the Palace Burns LP November 11, but are giving us a taste of the sonic revamp now via a new video for the set's "Vigil."

As you may expect by the title alone, it finds a young woman in a white gown lighting a small vigil in an abandoned place of worship. As the song morphs into its more aggressive backend, full of judding guitars and jack-hammered rhythms, we learn via some flashbacks that she may not be reminiscing over the good times. It also seems like the building took to the candle's flame a bit too quickly.

You can see the clip, directed by Don Argott and edited by Demian Fenton, who also made the accompanying As the Palace Burns documentary, down below.

As a reminder, Lamb of God's tour with Testament and Killswitch Engage starts today (October 22), and will hit up a number of Canadian cities along the way. You'll find the date info over here.
