LAL Announce Ontario Tour with R3 Collective

BY Alex HudsonPublished Mar 4, 2013

LAL's self-titled album is now a little over a year old, and the globally minded Toronto electro outfit will tour Ontario this month with their R3 Collective.

R3, which stands for "Roots Rhythms Resistance," is self-described as "an artists' collective recovering indigenous roots and resisting colonial oppression through music, dance, visual art and theatre for and by marginalized peoples, with a particular focus on Queer Indigenous and Queer communities of colour."

Their tour will hit nine cities within a little less than a month. Dubbed the "R3D Caravan Tour," it features LAL, along with Amai Kuda, Sonny B and Brixia Bloodbeard teaming up "on a wondrous journey of what is possible when we choose to build community."
