Published Apr 14, 2015NABLA Records is a new German imprint specializing in techno 12-inches. So far, the label has focused in on the music of its founder Lakehead, who kicked off the year with the release of his debut EP. Up next, they'll offer up a second serving of music from the artist.
The three-song release is simply titled 002. On the A-side, there's a song called "1991," which is remixed by Zaphod Salmon on the flip. The B-side also includes a percussive banger suitably titled "Workout Trax."
A press release describes the 12-inch as "Two parts testimonial, one part interpretation," adding that it "emulates '90s groovy techno with modern melancholic keys tantalizingly hovering over fog drenched surfaces."
But enough reading about it — you can hear a preview of the release below. Look for the EP to arrive in May.
