Lagwagon Announce New 'Hang' LP via Album Trailer

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jul 30, 2014

It's been a long time coming, but veteran pop punks Lagwagon are finally set to release their first album in nine years. Dubbed Hang, the group's eighth full-length studio release is set to hit stores October 28 through Fat Wreck Chords.

The LP was announced today (July 30) via a 16-second trailer that showcases an as-yet-unidentified track's detuned six-string licks and punchy drum fills. The teaser also reveals what could be the artwork, a pair of bees hovering around the outfit's familiar logo. Or hanging, if you will.

Tracklist details have not yet been revealed, but vocalist Joey Cape had explained back in 2012 that he had "written a whole bunch of stuff" while the band were out on the road supporting their career-spanning Putting Music In Its Place box set.

While the band had issued the I Think My Older Brother Used to Listen to Lagwagon EP in 2008, which Cape noted wasn't really the best Lagwagon release ("It had a good title, but that's it"), Hang will be the band's first full-length release since 2005's Resolve.

Lagwagon's summer schedule, meanwhile, sees them playing across Europe and later heading out to Quebec for a couple of festival dates. You'll find all the info down below.
