Lady Gaga learned a hard lesson about Twitter metaphors today, thanks to Amanda Knox.
The pop star tweeted, "Fame is prison," earlier today — a metaphorical reference to the trappings of being one of the most famous musicians in the world.
Not long after, though, Knox retweeted Gaga adding: "I hear you, but… prison is prison."
Knox, now a 32-year-old journalist, was famously held in an Italian prison for four years for the murder of her exchange student roommate. She was eventually released in 2011 and fully exonerated of the crime by Italy's highest court in 2015.
