This weekend, Lady Gaga kicked off her Las Vegas residency, and she brought out more than a few highlights.

At her first night at MGM's Park Theater on Saturday (December 29), Gaga performed a series of live debuts, including a cover of David Bowie's "I'm Afraid of Americans" and the A Star Is Born cut "Shallow."

"For a really long time I felt so misunderstood about the way I dressed, the way I talked, my attitude," she told the audience before playing the A Star Is Born hit. "They thought it was shallow. I'm so proud to be this far, but the truth is, you gave birth to me."

Down below, you can watch footage of both performances.

Lady Gaga's Las Vegas residency, ENIGMA, is due to span two years.
