Labradford Members Branch Off as Anjou, Prep New Album for Kranky
Richmond, VA group Labradford have remained mostly inactive since 2001, with members working on various different projects. Two-thirds of the group have now reunited, however, and are working under the name Anjou.

Anjou comprises Labradford members Mark Nelson and Robert Donne. The two have teamed up with percussionist Steven Hess, who has previously worked with Nelson in his long-running Pan•American project.

As Anjou, the group have prepared a self-titled debut album. As evidenced on the song "Sighting," available to stream below, all three members have left their imprint on the project, from droning synths and digital processing to sparse, tasteful drum work.

Anjou will be available on September 15 via Kranky.

Anjou:

1. Lamptest
2. Sighting
3. Specimen Question
4. Readings
5. Inclosed
6. Adjustment
7. Backsight
8. Fieldwork
