Lab Coast Reveal Compilation LP and Limited Cassette Ahead of Massive Tour

BY Calum SlingerlandPublished Mar 24, 2017

Calgary-based quintet Lab Coast released their first full-length offering last year in Remember the Moon, and they're showing no signs of slowing down in 2017. The group have announced Canadian and European tours. along with an international compilation and a brand new cassette.

A short tour of Canada will see the band move from Lethbridge eastward to Montreal, making stops in Regina, Thunder Bay and Sudbury along the way. From there, a date in Ottawa will give way to two Toronto shows, marking the band's first appearance at Canadian Music Week.

The Canadian run will also mark the release of a cassette EP from the band. Titled In Real Life, the release is the first to feature the band's five-piece live lineup. The recording features a six-song set recorded live on CJSW, while the flip features a 15-minute composite version of their song "Waiting." Exclaim! has got an exclusive premiere of the new cassette, available to stream below.

The band will skip across the pond to Europe for dates in the UK, Wales, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and the Czech Republic. Highlights of the trip include three dates in Europe with fellow Albertans Preoccupations.

The band's trip to the continent also coincides with the release of a self-titled 16-song overview of their first four records, marking their first full-length offering to see release outside of their native Canada. The collection will arrive through Faux Discx Records on May 12.

You can find the compilation's tracklist and Lab Coast's complete tour itinerary below. Exclaim! is proud to be sponsoring the band's April 22 appearance as part of Canadian Music Week.
