La-Ti-Da Records Announces 2013 Singles Series with Needles//Pins, Steve Adamyk Band, the Ballantynes

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jan 11, 2013

Last year, Vancouver imprint La-Ti-Da Records released a six-single series of 7-inches that yielded new tunes from the likes of pop-punks Needles//Pins, retro R&B crew the Ballantynes and psych-pop players the React. The series must have been a success, as the label has announced another round for 2013.

A press release from the label has laid out tentative plans for this year's singles series, with the roster containing a few familiar faces. Both Needles//Pins and the Ballantynes are back with new mini-efforts, while Ottawa's Steve Adamyk Band will also take part in the project with a single of their own.

While last year's inaugural singles series focused on bands from the Great White North, in particular those situated in Vancouver, this year the La-Ti-Da team has plucked acts from beneath the U.S./Canada border to take part in the proceedings. The American artists are Santa Cruz, CA's the Wild Ones, L.A.'s Maniac and Brooklyn crew the Jay Vons.

Tracklistings and street dates have yet to be delivered, though the records will be issued two at a time between the spring and summer. You can check the tentative release schedule down below, and pre-order all six on coloured vinyl over here.
