Exclaim! New Faves alumni and Class of 2024 grads La Sécurité released their great debut album Stay Safe! last year. Today, the Montreal art-punk collective are giving some of those very-much-still-heaving songs even more life with a remix EP, out now via Mothland.
Featuring remixes by Born at Midnite, Freak Heat Waves, the Mauskovic Dance Band, Dur Club (Le Couleur), Malépart (Choses Sauvages) and Standard Emmanuel — La Sécurité bassist Félixe Bélisle's new, top-secret project — the six-track Stay Safe! REMIXED EP reimagines some of the album's biggest earworms, including "Serpent," "Suspens" and "Anyway."
The band debuted the new versions of the tracks at a late-February listening party at Montreal's L'idéal and, based on the video snippets I saw on Instagram, everyone ate it up and danced the night away.
