Published May 12, 2009North American fans of Kylie Minogue are a patient bunch that have waited years for the Australian pop queen to announce some sort of tour. Well, the wait is over... kind of. The pint-sized diva has announced a six-date jaunt that includes one Canadian stop (Toronto on October 9). It's a small offering but at least it's something.
The artist behind more than 40 million albums sold will hit North America to promoter her latest release, X, on September 30. The brief stint will kick off with a show in Oakland, ending in New York on October 11.
Kylie made the obligatory press release statement, saying, "I've wanted to tour in America and Canada for years and know that fans have been waiting a long time for this. I'm thrilled that the opportunity has finally arrived."
Tickets will go on sale through the usual outlets beginning this Friday (May 15), and will run you anywhere from $59.50 to $119.50. Of course, members of Kylie.com's mailing list will receive an email that contains information about special ticket pre-sale offers.
