Kylesa Ready Vinyl Reissues

With Kylesa still touring behind their game-changing 2010 album Spiral Shadow, it's unclear just when the Savannah, GA-based psych-sludge ensemble will deliver their next record. With that in mind, the band are prepping a few vinyl reissues from their back catalogue, in case you missed out on the LPs the first time around.

First up is a newly pressed version of the troupe's sophomore effort To Walk a Middle Course, which arrives through Alternative Tentacles June 26. The 2005 LP was remastered by the band, and according to a press release, "this window into the collective mind of Kylesa provides a healthy glimpse of where they came from and where they were headed."

The group's follow-up LP Time Will Fuse Its Worth will also be reissued on June 26. The album, originally issued in 2006, was the first to feature Kylesa's two-drummer lineup, making for "a thicker, punchier, heavier rhythm section."

Exclaim! lauded the album's genre-blending style, which hinted melded "female-fronted crust punk, early-era Neurosis, and that odd, difficult subgenre of Bay Area hardcore characterised by Prank Records bands."

Both reissues come with new album art, which you can see above.

In other news, Kylesa are in the middle of a U.S. tour with Gwar, and you can check out the dates here.
