Kyle Dixon & Michael Stein's 'Stranger Things 2' Soundtrack Gets Vinyl Release

While we already got the digital release of the soundtrack to Stranger Things Season 2, details have now been revealed for its upcoming vinyl edition.

As recently posted retail listings reveal, the soundtrack to Stranger Things 2 from S U R V I V E synth explorers Kyle Dixon & Michael Stein will arrive on vinyl on January 12.

So far, there are only details for UK label Invada's version of the release, which will come as a 2-LP set on 180-gram wax pressed on both classic black vinyl and clear splattered vinyl. Inserts are also promised.

Upon the soundtrack's initial announcement, it was revealed that Lakeshore would also be releasing Stranger Things 2 on vinyl, but details of its release plans are so far unclear. However, we expect that even more vinyl variants will be revealed for the release whether you like it or not.

UPDATE (11/8, 2 p.m. EST): It's now been confirmed that Lakeshore's versions will arrive on December 22, while Invada's will follow on January 12. Invada will release a 180-gram black version, a "Crystal Clear Vinyl" (with blue and white splatter) and a mail-order-only "Purple Crystal Vinyl" (with white splatter). Lakeshore, meanwhile, will release a "Upside Down Inter-dimensional Blue Vinyl," along with some other yet-to-be-revealed variants. So yes, like it or not, there's once again more fancy coloured vinyl variants than the world could ever rightfully need.

The CD version of Stranger Things 2, meanwhile, is out on November 24.
