On the 17th anniversary of his death earlier this year, Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain was memorialized by his hometown of Aberdeen, WA with a new guitar-shaped statue. Now, however, it looks as if he might get even more honours from the city with a proposed bridge.
The Associated Press reports that the Aberdeen city council is considering renaming the Young Street Bridge over the Wishkah River after the late grunge icon. If they follow through with these plans, a small park beside the bridge will be renamed Cobain Landing.
