Kristi Lane Sinclair has a new album on the way. The Toronto-based Haida/Cree artist has announced that her sophomore full-length release Super Blood Wolf Moon will arrive on April 14 via Red Music Rising

The 12-track project is her first in nearly eight years, following 2015's Dark Matter. In a press release, Sinclair said that the upcoming album has been three years in the making, the longest amount of time she's ever spent on a project. She explained that she believes it was essential to take her time with such an important album, saying, "I wrote this album wanting to find common ground for all who experience womanhood."

Sinclair elaborated: "I don't want my identity to be that of a victim. I wanted Super Blood Wolf Moon to be a true account of how it feels to endure domestic violence and PTSD. It's not only about what I've been through, but also what I've learned from women I've encountered throughout my life over the years."

Sinclair previewed Super Blood Wolf Moon with the release of lead single "Break" with Kelly Fraser last October. Today, she shares the album's second single "Heartbites," which will make you want to get on the dance floor with its catchy chorus and '80s-inspired indie pop instrumental.
