Thinking festival season is all but over as summer comes to a close? You might be wise to think again after reading this week's Can't Miss Concerts from September 17 to 23. The latest edition is jam packed with multi-day events across Canada for those of you who haven't quite gotten your festival fix. Bloor Ossington Folk Festival
 
A staple within the community, the annual Bloor Ossington Folk Festival is bringing three days of music to intimate area venues such as Christie Pits Park, Studio 835, Bassline Bar, Menalon Restaurant and more. Those from in the area and out can take in free performances from a diverse lineup that includes Julie Doiron, Michael Feuerstack, Crosss, Jon McKiel, Nick Ferrio, the Holy Gasp and (fittingly enough) Absolutely Free, among many others.

Kraftwerk
 
Kraftwerk's recent live performances have been nothing short of astounding, and the German electronic music pioneers are set to put their 3-D Concert multimedia machine back into action with a new set of North American dates. The tour kicks off with a pair of dates in the province of Alberta, where the Krautrock legends will play Edmonton on September 16 before heading south to Calgary the next day.

Ottawa CityFolk Fest
 
Boasting both a new name and location, Ottawa's formerly tiny folk festival is set to descend upon the freshly renovated Lansdowne Park this year as CityFolk. Over four days of fest action, folkies in the nation's capital can treat their eyes and ears to performances from Van Morrison, Of Monsters and Men, Wilco, the Avett Brothers, UB40, Patrick Watson, the Sheepdogs and a host of others.

POP Montreal
 
Bringing its even mix of the underground's best and international star power to the city once again, POP Montreal prides itself on delivering "a dynamic introduction to the next generation of musical talent and independent art forms." Fans can take in performances from Giorgio Moroder, Braids, Motörhead, Anthrax, Thurston Moore and a wealth of others in the consistently diverse lineup.

Rifflandia
 
Moving into its seventh year of operation, Victoria's Rifflandia festival only continues to grow. This year's impressive artist roster gives music fans on Canada's left coast a chance to catch Modest Mouse, Julian Casablancas + the Voidz, Joey Bada$$, Flatbush Zombies, Blonde Redhead and many more amongst familiar Canuck favourites like Chromeo, Kiesza, Arkells and Tokyo Police Club.

Riot Fest Toronto
 
Expect nothing less than, well, a riot when Riot Fest returns to Downsview Park this month. This year's lineup sees the Toronto incarnation of the festival stay true to its punk and metal roots by including an Alexisonfire reunion show, Weezer playing both their self-titled The Blue Album and Pinkerton in their entireties, and sets from Rancid and Motörhead topping the bill. A small group of rappers have also been billed, with Tyler, the Creator, Yelawolf, Doomtree and hometown heroes Jazz Cartier and Tasha the Amazon all slated to make appearances.

Toronto Urban Roots Festival
 
Bumped from its normal July timeslot by the Pan Am Games, the Toronto Urban Roots Festival (also known as TURF) is making its return to the city a little later than usual. However, the occasion is no less grand, sporting a lineup that includes Of Monsters and Men, Pixies, Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros, Wilco, Neko Case, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and more.

Wu-Tang Clan
 
It's officially a Wu-Tang weekend in the Great White North as Staten Island's finest have lined up three performances in Canada. Though we already know Ghostface Killah will not be in attendance at any of the dates, hip-hop heads can catch the Clan's ever-rotating live line-up in Edmonton and Calgary on September 18 and 19, respectively, before they take the stage in Toronto as part of Riot Fest on September 20.

Yukon Blonde
 
With their latest collection of tunes from June's On Blonde in tow, Yukon Blonde have lined up a string of dates on Canada's East coast to treat their fans on the opposite side of the country to their new material. A stop in Moncton, New Brunswick is followed by an appearance at Fredericton's Harvest Jazz & Blues Festival on September 19, rounded out by a performance in St. John's, Newfoundland two days after.
