It's creeping closer and closer to 2013, which means electronic label Kompakt is wringing its hands in anticipation of dropping the next volume in the German imprint's annual Pop Ambient series. Details have now been delivered for the set, and it'll arrive at retailers January 21.
As can be expected, the 14-song collection features a smorgasbord of originals and remixes from the likes of experimental soundscaper Matthew Herbert, Postal Service graduate Dntel, and recent Mercury Prize nominees Django Django, among others.
The collection also marks the debut of Matias Aguayo and Jörg Burger's new collaborative project Terrapi, who close out the comp with their contribution of the track "Cirrus Minor." Keeping it in the family, Pop Ambient 2013 also includes label founder Michael Mayer's remix of fellow co-founder Wolfgang Voigt's "Sully." You can peep the rest of the details down below.
