Kode9 Announces North American Dates, Sets Sights on New Release

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Aug 23, 2012

Hyderdub head honcho Kode9 (aka Steve Goodman) delivered a bass-heavy performance at Montreal's MUTEK fest in June, offering up a set that jumped from grime to samba to acid house. The UK-based electronic performer will now hit up a couple of other Canadian spots on his upcoming North American jaunt.

Goodman will be back in our continent in September for a 10-show stretch, and will kick things off with a September 13 performance in Victoria as part of Rifflandia. While he'll jet to the U.S. from there, additional up-north appearances are scheduled for Vancouver and Toronto. You can catch all the details down below.

On the recorded music front, Kode9 premiered a work in progress called "Xingfu Lu" earlier this week, and the footwork-flavoured song is rumoured to appear on a new release sometime in the near future. According to a press release, it could even come out as soon as this September, during his run of North American dates. It would be his first release since last year's Black Sun LP, and you can sample the snippet in the video down below.
