Knucklehead

Little Boots

BY Shawn MerrillPublished Jul 1, 2003

Keeping their commitment to releasing premiere Canadian punk talent, the good souls at Longshot have gone and re-released Knucklehead’s debut album "Little Boots.” Originally released in 1998 on Farout Records in the U.S., it’s great to see it resurface five years later still as vital as it was back then and hopefully with more notoriety this time around. Blending elements of California melodic hardcore with UK three-chord street punk and a working class stance, Knucklehead should be destined to win ears of those around the globe. Moreover, it’s nice to hear that the recording is crisp and clean unlike most debut recordings, and unlike Knucklehead’s latest release, "Hostage Radio.”
