With a voice like Dicky Barrett and moog-filled songs that sound like other power-pop bands with moogs, the Know How mix their styles well. Not quite ska and not quite power-pop, the groups songs are a fun compendium of genres, always hook-filled and catchy as the clap. Though the horn lines occasionally suffer from heavy competition from the synthesiser, as well as recording that makes them sound somewhat synthetic themselves, they add very distinct texture to all the songs helping elevate them above what could be considered well-tread power-pop territory. Skyler Stones vocal delivery can be somewhat grating at first, but after a few spins, his occasionally erratic style becomes a welcome addition to the bands sound.
