BY Josiah HughesPublished Dec 14, 2012

Earlier this week, Swedish electronic duo the Knife announced Shaking the Habitual, a proper follow-up to their 2006 album Silent Shout, via a cryptic video.

Now, the band have confirmed that the album will see release on April 8 via Brille/Mute. The album's release will also be met with some extensive touring by the band.

In their initial announcement video, they offered up a statement that read, "Music can be so meaningless. We had to find lust. We asked our friends and lovers to help us."

Aside from Silent Shout, Shaking the Habitual follows the band's 2010 opera opera Tomorrow, In a Year and Dreijer Andersson's 2009 LP under the name Fever Ray in 2009.

Stay tuned for more details as they become available.
