The Knife: Popular With the Kids, Not So Much With Old Men

BY Cam LindsayPublished May 30, 2007

According to New York City-based public broadcasting network nyctv's New York Noise, three out of three old men don't recommend the Knife. Yes, Swedish siblings Olof Dreijer and Karin Dreijer Andersson may be popular with the kids, but not so much with the seniors. Three old age pensioners were given their chance to watch and sound off on the bizarre promo video for the Knife's most recent single "Like A Pen." Unfortunately for the Knife, they scored poorly with all three men. Of course, the motivation behind such programming is uncertain, so this experiment is riddled with question marks (primarily WTF?). But kudos to the producers for discovering such a candid team of unimpressed old men who really know how to work the camera and show their music criticism chops. (Though the guy who isn't sure if he's trying to think of Barry Manilow or Sting isn't really that impressive.)
