The Knife, Bella Clava and the 1975 Lead This Week's Can't Miss Concerts

The 1975

British indie rock quartet the 1975 are continuing the North American leg of their tour across Western Canada. In support of their 2013 debut self-titled LP, the band will be playing shows in British Columbia and Alberta this week.

Bella Clava

Canuck rockers Bella Clava will be playing an intense string of easterly shows this week in celebration of their brand new record, Medicine for Melancholy. Fans in Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes will have several chances to hear cuts off the band's new '90s-inspired album live.

Franz Ferdinand

Scottish pop-rockers Franz Ferdinand will be making a stop into Vancouver to play the Commodore Ballroom this week. Fans will be sure to hear plenty of cuts from their 2013 record Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action, and in light of their recent singles, concertgoers might even hear the quartet sing in German.

Fuck the Facts

Ottawa grindcore outfit Fuck the Facts have quite the busy schedule this week, with six Canadian shows in six days on their "Grinding the US and Canada Tour." They'll travel from Victoria to Saskatoon this week alone before continuing east the next.

Ellie Goulding

With the expanded LP Halcyon Days on store shelves and a new song on the Divergent soundtrack, electronic-leaning pop star Ellie Goulding has plenty of new material to bring with her on tour, which includes stops in British Columbia and Alberta this week.

The Knife

Swedish electronic experimentalists the Knife will be bringing their high-concept stage show to Toronto and Montreal this week. With elaborate costumes, choreographed dances and a knack for mixing founding members Karin Dreijer Andersson and Olof Dreijer in among the additional performers, the group's show aims to break expectations of what a concert should be. This aren't shows you want to miss.
