Its the second year in a row that this Swedish tag team carried their song to onto lists such as this, but for good reason: 2007 was the year that Robyn finally got her just dues and reigned the charts with proper releases in the UK (expect a similar invasion when her self-titled album FINALLY drops domestically some time in 2008). "With Every Heartbeat (meaning outside of Sweden and in a commercial format) found a home atop the British singles charts for weeks on end, re-establishing Robyn as a pop star once again, ten years after her debut. Imagined by the little known Andreas Kleerup, the songs dramatic ascension shimmers with European lustre, as robotic strings lay down a harmonious drone for the bubbling techno to rise up from. Robyns vocals, as always, command complete attention, as the blonde pixie unpacks her emotional baggage with justified confidence, while in the video, running through a Legoland-like dimension of morphing mountains and crumbling structures. Dont count out seeing this appear once again when it gets a third release on these shores.
