Electric Caravanas

BY Rob FerrazPublished Sep 1, 2000

Old-time, Italian street heroes return with 12 songs of rebellious '77 punk, oi, reggae and dub. Produced by Jimmy Pursey of Sham 69 fame, the songs are all in Italian, including a cover the Clash's "Garageland," with English translations in the booklet. They owe a big debt to bands like the Clash and Sham 69 and they aren't afraid to show it, playing in a true, old school politically, yet personal style. Occasionally some of the lyrical content gets lost in the translation, but the music is well done and catchy.
