Kiss Get Their Very Own Football Team

Kiss have long treated their devoted to flame-firing arena concerts, but a new business move will now have the hard rockers pleasing sports fans via their new Arena Football League team, the LA Kiss.

Kiss bassist Gene Simmons and guitarist Paul Stanley are co-owners and will run the team with AFL executive Brett Bouchy. Apparently the LA Kiss are primed to deliver the same kind of high-energy performances as their namesake. Hopefully the athletes will be dressed to kill in full demon face paint and glittery silver and black uniforms.

"As a fast-paced, high-action band, this partnership with the AFL was an obvious fit for us," Simmons said in a statement. "Attending an LA Kiss game in 2014 will be similar to a live Kiss show, with thrilling, heart-pounding action."

The Anaheim-based team will premiere in the AFL in March 2014, marking the first time the city has had a franchise since the Los Angeles Cobras and the Los Angeles Avengers folded following the 2008 season. Home games will be held at the Honda Center in Anaheim.

Season tickets start at $99 and will apparently include one concert from Kiss. Additionally, Kiss will be playing the halftime show at this Sunday's (August 17) ArenaBowl XXVI in Orlando, FL.
