Published Apr 28, 2014In case you've got a craving for a new take on k.d. lang's old "Constant Craving" single, Australian artist Kirin J. Callinan has got you covered with a creeped-out, goth-industrial version of the adult contemporary hit.
Thrust to the forefront above a chilling soundscape of speaker-panning squelches is Callinan's broken-spirit baritone. Even through the darkest phases of the cover, a sliver of light is delivered via the uplifting guest vocals of Sophia Brous. The cover gets some sort of twisted electro-salsa treatment once the chorus kicks in, making for a unique redo.
You can check it out down below.
Callinan is just about to embark on a North American tour, which stops in Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal this May. You'll find the details just above the SoundCloud player.
