Kino Kimino Teams Up with Lee Ranaldo and Steve Shelley for 'Bait Is for Sissies'

Known for her work with Eagle & Talon and JAN, Manitoba-bred, Brooklyn-based songwriter Kim Talon has announced her debut record as Kino Kimino. Teaming up with Sonic Youth's Lee Ranaldo and Steve Shelley, along with Melinda Holm on bass, Bait Is for Sissies is set to arrive this spring.

Produced by John Agnello (Kurt Vile, Dinosaur Jr., Hop Along), a press release describes the record "ten sweetly serrated, sometimes volatile, post-punk songs" that were written as "a dramatized response to the end of a romantic relationship that was founded on deceit." Exploring betrayal, violence and exclusion through 10 tracks, the music serves as Talon's catharsis.

Bait Is for Sissies arrives on June 3 through My Favourite Chords, with pre-orders open for CD and vinyl versions of the record. Scroll through the tracklisting to watch the video for first single "Passion" in the player below.
